When the enclosure is the project

Custom products when catalog gear does not match the pad

Gear changes after bid. The pad size is fixed. Inspectors want labeled access and wire routing that matches the one-line you already submitted, not a stock enclosure scaled to fit.

CME fabricates in the same shop as our multizone HVAC and rooftop screening. Layout is confirmed before steel is cut. Factory wiring and powder coat run on campus when your job needs one responsible shop.

  • Steel enclosure fabrication with labeled access panels
  • Factory wiring and component mounting when specified
  • Powder coat and finish through CME’s CPB finishing line

Project support

  • Submittal drawings for engineer and AHJ review
  • Nationwide freight and delivery coordination
  • Field installation support on request
  • Same project managers who handle HVAC and screening work

What we build

Five product lines from one shop

Dimensions, access, ventilation, and finish are configured with your CME representative before release to the shop floor.

Power distribution centers

Power distribution centers

Enclosures laid out for the switchgear, panels, and feeders on your one-line. Factory wiring and labeled access are available so the electrician spends less time on the pad.

Lithium battery storage enclosures

Lithium battery storage enclosures

ESS and backup-power enclosures sized for your capacity, ventilation, and service clearances. Powder coat and finish run in-house before shipment.

Custom oil racks and field skids

Custom oil racks and field skids

Control racks and skids for well sites and midstream pump houses. Panel and instrument layout matched to how your crew wires the field.

General custom metal fabrication

General custom metal fabrication

Commercial HVAC plenums, renewable skids, and one-off enclosures when the job needs a shop that holds tolerance, from concept drawings through powder coat.

Custom Powder & Blasting

Custom Powder & Blasting

Custom Powder and Blasting houses oversized garage doors, an extra-large oven, a five-step wash bay, and a powder application station to accommodate projects of any caliber. CPB is CME’s sister company on the same campus.

The facility

Built for large parts and high-volume prep

Oversized access, full wash cycle, and cure capacity for commercial and industrial work on the same campus as CME fabrication.

On the floor

  • Oversized garage doors for large panels and enclosures
  • Extra-large cure oven
  • Five-step wash bay
  • Modern powder application station

Finishes

  • Powder coating in a wide color range
  • Cerakote for specialty and high-wear applications
  • Custom patterns, designs, and logos
  • Dustless sandblasting for prep before coat

Capabilities

Powder coat, Cerakote, and prep under one roof

Room for large parts

Oversized doors, a five-step wash bay, and an extra-large cure oven handle screening panels, HVAC enclosures, and one-off fabrications without sending parts out for prep or finish.

Color, Cerakote, and logos

Powder coat in a wide color range, Cerakote for high-wear surfaces, and custom patterns or logos when the architect or owner wants the equipment to match the building.

Low-dust prep on site

Dustless sandblasting cleans steel before coat while keeping grit and dust contained—less mess for your crew and faster turnaround to install on a commercial roof or occupied campus.

Why CME

Why engineers and contractors specify CME custom products

CME is not a job shop that only cuts metal. We build multizone HVAC and rooftop screening every week, so our welders and project managers understand code paths, service access, and what happens when an inspector walks the pad. Your enclosure gets the same documentation discipline as our rooftop equipment.

FAQ

Custom products questions

Answers for specifying engineers, contractors, and facility owners.

What types of custom products does CME build?

Power distribution centers, lithium battery storage enclosures, oilfield control racks, and general commercial metal enclosures. If you have drawings or a gear list, send them. We confirm feasibility on a discovery call.

What should I send for a quote?

One-lines, skid layouts, battery specifications, photos of the pad, and your target delivery window. A CME representative confirms scope and lead time after reviewing those inputs, usually on a short discovery call.

Does CME offer factory wiring inside enclosures?

Yes, on many PDC and skid projects. Factory wiring is scoped per job so your electrician knows what lands pre-wired versus what terminates in the field.

Does CME install custom products in the field?

Most projects ship ready for your electrical or mechanical contractor to set and connect. CME can provide field installation support or coordinate factory installation when the schedule requires a single responsible party.

How is custom fabrication different from ordering multizone HVAC?

Multizone HVAC follows PMZ3 configurations with defined tonnage and zone counts. Custom products are layout-driven: your one-line, ESS requirements, or skid drawings set the enclosure. Both are built in-house with the same project management team.
